Two of my favorite images from a recent wedding. Loved how the kids were acting like themselves before the formal portraits.

Kids can be crazy for sure and sometimes the best images with them are the images where you do not interfere, just let it naturally flow.

The cake image is another example though no kids or groom were harmed during the shoot.

“Every drummer that had a name, had a name because of his individual playing.

He didn’t sound like anybody else, So everybody that I ever listened to, in some form, influenced my taste.”

– Buddy Rich

Quote fits great with photography as well.

Mary Laura and Tom were married at Christ Church on St Charles ave in New Orleans, LA. The reception was held at the Southern Yacht Club on Lake Ponchartrain.

Christ Church has always been one of my favorite New Orleans churches to photograph in, just love the wood interior. Thanks to Mike Lirette for helping me with the photography.

Great day for a bridal session at Latrobe’s in the French Quarter! I’m always trying to view a scene in a different way and love using reflections through windows. More from Taylor’s French Quarter bridal session and New Orleans wedding coming soon!

Days leading up to this wedding had the weather as being real bad the day of the wedding. Luckily Southern weather is constantly changing as the bad weather stayed away until the very end of the day. The Burrus House is just a great location for a wedding. The Bride & Groom drove away in this car at the end of the night. More later!

I had photographed Kelly and Mark’s engagement session last year at the New Orleans Fairgrounds which was a lot of fun so I was very much looking forward to the wedding day. Hard to go wrong with a wedding that starts with English Tea Time and ends at the New Orleans Museum of Art. Keep calm and carry on!
